Coming Up.

Movin’ right along.

First off, thanks to all of you who read and participated in the Celebration Giveaway last week! Congratulations to Amy for being our winner of a portrait session, featuring her nominee, Maddie!

Amy wrote, “So I would love to nominate my sassy, sweet, loving little girl. Miss Madison Grace AKA Maddie pattie is the most energetic person I’ve ever met. She is also the sweetest. No one lights up a room like her

I would have to say that her “victory” is becoming a great big sister! It’s hard for kids to adjust to not being the single child anymore. To say she’s rocked at her new role is an understatement! She’s so completely in love with her little bro and loves to give him kisses! So in a nutshell that is why I’m nominating my sweet little human!!”

Looking forward to our session, Amy and Maddie!

What a serious breath of fresh air it was to hear about so many happy things happening in your lives. It’s easy to get lost in current events. As important as it is to stay aware and stay informed, it’s just as important to have some self care, positivity, and light in your life. So to you all celebrating and finding the light in the darkness, cheers!

Second, I just wanted to share a glimpse into what’s in the works for Sheri Lynn Photography. Time keeps quickly marching forward, and my favorite season is somehow swiftly approaching as I’m starting to notice leaves turning here and there. I also see pumpkin spice lovers rejoicing and fellow cardigan lovers pulling out their favorite sweaters. It’s about to be fall, y’all! I am currently scoping out a spot to offer Fall Minis. A mini session is a shortened version of a portrait session. We will spend a half hour together and you’ll receive a small digital gallery of your portrait session. Want to capture the essence of dinner in the crockpot, apple cider, changing leaves, cooler temps arriving, and sweater weather all in a portrait of you and your loved ones? Well mini sessions might be what you’re looking for! Stay tuned for dates and sign ups!

Beyond my photography world, I have bittersweet feelings to share that we have a first birthday quickly approaching! Last night I may or may not have spent an absurd amount of time scrolling through photos from a year ago and sending video clips to my husband with a lot of emojis. I spent hours piecing together a First Year album that I may cry about when it arrives. It’s been strange planning a birthday party (and a 34th birthday party for my husband - a glimpse into the future of having family birthdays a week apart) in these wild times. I’m reminding myself to focus on the good stuff knowing that even if we can’t have everyone here that we had planned, it will still be such a special day celebrating our boy.
